If you want to know about the Boozefighters as a club you need to visit the National Website. We support all of our brothers and feel that if you really want to get to know us you should start there and then see if there is a local chapter you can hang with. We have active links to our brother's chapters if you want to check them out. If you want to know more about Chapter 39... well, you just keep reading. Who could've known that Hood County, Texas would be such an important part of the Boozefighter history? In 1983 Gary "Batman" Rye was instrumental in bringing the Charter for Chapter 39 as well as the National Charter for the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club to Texas. This was at a time when the Boozefighters were experiencing a rebirth due to the efforts of many bikers that believed in, and lived by the ideals of the “Original Wild Ones”. Initially, Chapter 39 was established in Fort Worth, but shortly after Batman’s passing, that Chapter was rechartered as Chapter 69 and the new Chapter retained the National Charter. On March 5, 2003 seven Patch Holders received a Charter to reestablish Chapter 39 in Hood County, Texas. They reformed the chapter in order to remind Brothers everywhere that the Boozefighters, more specifically Chapter 39 Boozefighters, the first Charter to ever be fully patched at inception, weren't going anywhere. Knuckles (Charter Holder and President for the Re-established Chapter 39) These Brothers were the original Charter holders and chose the title “Bat Chapter” to honor Batman’s contributions to the Boozefighters, and set up their clubhouse, The Bat Cave. Chapter 39 is very much a family chapter but we also know how to "throw down". We can party like rock stars or take care of business when it is necessary. We have members from all different walks of life. We sometimes refer to ourselves as the "blacksheep" of BFMC for we've been in a situation or two that "stirred the pot" so to speak. Don't kid yourself though, our members are not sheep by any sort of the word. Some of them may be quiet but all it takes is the right mix of circumstance to get them to show you a thing or two. We have active, in-active, and retired military personnel. We have metal smiths, wood smiths, engineers, drivers, riggers, salesmen, supervisors, and some good ol' boys from the School of Hard Knox. "Ride it like you stole it!" If you've been in the motorcycle scene for awhile you may have seen that quote on a bike or a patch. Boozefighters ride Harley Davidson motorcycles and sometimes we ride them hard. We ride HD's not only because we believe that they are the best motorcycle out there but because they are American made by men just like us. We ride our bikes to raise money for families who are having a hard time paying bills. We ride to collect toys for children who wouldn't otherwise have a Christmas. We will ride to bring a part for a brother down on the side of the road or just to keep him company while he replaces it. We ride for just about any excuse we can think of. The one thing that we all share during our rides is that we ARE Boozefighters. Chapter 39 strives to maintain the beliefs of the “Originals”- Family, Work, and Club. The members enjoy exercising their Right to Free Assembly with like minded Brothers and Friends for a cold beer and lots of food after a hard day at work. We understand the importance of family and we do our best to support each and every piece of it. We have a birthday party every month and it is always a belly full. Chapter 39 is sort of known for their food. The Boozettes that lurk in that there Bat Cave loves to cook! As Boozefighters, we are not choir boys. If you are offended by leather, motorcycles, the consumption of alcoholic beverages, and occasional gratuitous nudity, we may not be your cup of tea. We don't ask anyone to do anything that we haven't done already or are not willing to do ourselves. We believe in unity, loyalty, and respect and don't tolerate anything less. We believe that you can never learn too much for knowledge is power. We strive to be the best at everything we do, even if it takes us a little bit longer than you to figure things out. If any of these things stir your inner sole and you are interested in seeing if you have what it takes to be not just a Boozefighter, but a Chapter 39 Boozefighter, then step up! Come hang around for a while and go on some of our rides. You can decide if you like us and maybe we could decide we like you. But remember, DJIYS! The Bat Cave is located at 3910 N White Tail Drive, Granbury, TX 76049 . We frequent there quite often but if you are looking to pay us a visit give Gunrunner a call. Gunrunner is our Chapter Advisor among other things. He'd be more than happy to set up a "get together" or let you know when it's kool to visit. You can email Gunrunner here. In the interim, check our Events Page for upcoming runs and parties, and our Guestbook. Most of us have myspace pages so you can look for us there too. Photos here are family friendly; the really good stuff is at The Bat Cave. See yah when you get here... And one more thing... BOOZEFIGHTERS UP |
